Krysta Klobosits, MA

Education: I have a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rosemont College.

Areas of experience/specialty: While being an intern at Valley Youth House, I got a lot of experience with youth that had experienced various childhood traumas. Since being with Haven House, I have gotten a lot of experience with various diagnoses, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and many more. I would like to specialize in a specific area of therapy once I obtain my licensure and become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) but I am not sure of what area I would like to specialize in yet.

Previous experience/positions: I was previously an intern at Valley Youth House and did therapy intake assessments, individual therapy sessions, family therapy sessions, and group sessions with the youth but Haven House is my first full time therapy position where I am currently doing outpatient initial assessments and individual therapy.

Approach to counseling: “My approach to counseling depends on the client because each client is unique. I tend to use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) if the client has irrational thought processes or problematic behaviors to adjust their thinking and behavior into a healthier process for their best well-being. I also use humanistic therapy through talk therapy with the client, allowing them to express their true self, their concerns, and for them to consider their positive characteristics, behaviors, and potential for growth.
