Areas of experience/specialty: I have experience with a variety of age groups struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, mood disorders, and more. I enjoy utilizing the creative process while in session to aid in self-expression and communication of emotions.
Previous experience/positions: I have experience working with adults with TBI, the outpatient hospital setting, and outpatient therapy. Through these experiences, I’ve led both group and individual art therapy sessions with a variety of age groups. Currently, I work as an art therapist in outpatient therapy and as a Behavioral Navigator in the Wellness program bridging both mental and physical health!
Approach to counseling: I enjoy utilizing art therapy and the creative process to aid in communication, creativity, and self-expression. As an art therapist, I provide a variety of creative and therapeutic techniques to aid in the client’s overall well-being. My goal is to utilize therapeutic art techniques to allow individuals to feel more comfortable communicating while in session, be able to freely express themselves, and increase healthier choices and functioning!
